The ancient church of St. Wilfrid’s has been a place of worship for over seven hundred years. It contains the some of the oldest stained glass in Warwickshire and is the resting place of George Eliot’s grandparents. It is a place of continuing Christian worship serving Old Arley and beyond. Our aim is to develop our church so that it can remain at the centre of the community and of Christian worship in the 21st Century. Unfortunately, this Medieval church will face closure if action isn’t taken now to protect and restore it’s crumbling stone work and interior.

The Damage To St Wilfrid’s
Damage To St Wilfrid’s
St. Wilfrid’s Church is in immediate need of repair if it is to be saved for worship and future generations. Damaged stonework needs urgent restoration to save the building.
Water damage and Victorian maintenance practices have caused damage to both the exterior and interior parts of the building and we are trying to raise funds to save the church. Our goal is to raise enough funding so that St. Wilfrid’s can be restored for the future and remain at the Centre of Arley life.
